Dymax is forming solutions that allow photopolymer-based 3D printing resins to meet or surpass the capabilities of thermoplastic materials such as polycarbonate or ABS, targeting superior impact and temperature resistance properties. Our new white paper explores how to obtain a balance of these properties in order to mimic thermoplastic materials. The goal is improvements in impact strength while maintaining a high heat deflection temperature (HDT). The equilibrium between HDT and impact strength can vary depending on the 3D printing application.

BR-3747AE Polyether Urethane Acrylate

Pressure sensitive adhesives co-oligomer. BR-3747AE is a difunctional, flexible, aliphatic polyether urethane acrylate that is an excellent candidate in UV-light curable pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA). This product adheres to a variety of unusual substrates; polypropylene, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC). BR-3747AE enhances flexibility, provides toughness, has non-yellowing properties, and can approve adhesion as a co-oligomer in PSAs.

BR-7432GB Aliphatic Polyester Urethane Diacrylate
Provides toughness and flexibility to various applications. BR-7432GB formulates into applications like thermoforming resistant coatings, where toughness and flexibility are required. It provides an excellent balance of properties: weathering, solvent resistance, tensile strength, and good adhesion. BR-7432GB is a very tough, elastomeric material with similar mechanical performance to cast urethanes. Along with its 3D-printing and industrial coatings applications, BR-7432GB is also an ideal candidate for a base coat in soak-off nail coatings.

Ideal for hard nail gel coatings. BR-371MS's  high tensile strength and superior hardness paired with its extremely low color and low heat generation make it perfect for hard nail gel applications. It has a low molecular weight and is a difunctional, aliphatic, polyether urethane methacrylate oligomer. Its high viscosity, scratch resistance, and non-yellowing qualities are characteristic properties of an idea hard gel nail coating.
