Congratulations to BCAN's 2019 Young Investigator Award Recipients
The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) recently announced the recipients of its three New Discoveries Research Young Investigator Awards supporting the development of outstanding early career research scientists and clinical cancer research investigators who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the understanding and treatment of bladder cancer. Each Young Investigator Award provides a $50,000 grant that supports one year of bladder cancer research.
This year awardees are Dr. Sumeet Bhanvadia from the University of Southern California, Dr. Sarah Psutka from the University of Washington and Dr. Neelam Mukherjee from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.
BCAN's director of education and research, Dr. Stephanie Chisolm, is quoted in the article stating “We are hearing from more and more desperate patients every day.”
