OCPA is celebrating two years of service because of you
Introducing Our First Sustainability Champion
We are honored to recognize Susan Eaton as our inaugural Sustainability Champion! Susan has passionately championed environmental causes in Orange County since the 1970s and has dedicated her life to groups like the Sierra Club, United Nations Association OC, and also started an organization called Orange County for Climate Action. She was one of the first supporters of community choice energy, and publicly advocated for the founding of OCPA in our first member cities. Susan’s dedication to sustainability inspires us all. Thank you for your stewardship and advocacy, Susan!

These groups are engaging in innovative renewable energy education throughout our member communities, and we are proud to support their projects. How We're Working to Make Clean Energy More Affordable
It’s not just your imagination. California electricity bills have gone up for everyone due to higher transmission and distribution costs. While OCPA does not control these costs, we understand the financial strain and are committed to helping lower monthly electric bills for our customers both now and over the long term. We’re proud to be one of California’s 25 community energy providers who saved customers an estimated $760 million last year compared to the investor-owned utilities.
What exactly does a Director of Power Resources do and how is it helping OCPA and its customers transition to a clean energy future? Get the scoop from our Director of Power Resources Louis Ting, who breaks down his role and broader industry experience, and offers a preview of what lies next in OCPA’s ever-growing renewable power portfolio.
