Each year, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) holds a number of statewide events to launch the upcoming construction season. The events are held at various locations throughout the state, and ODOT selected the project site for the new Loop Ramp at the I-71 & Fields-Ertel/Mason-Montgomery Road interchange as the site for their southwest Ohio event.
Warren County Engineer Neil Tunison spoke last week about the partnerships that make regional improvements happen on time and on budget.
Event speakers included:
ODOT District 8 Deputy Director Steve Mary
Warren County Commissioner Dave Young
Warren County Engineer Neil Tunison
Hamilton County Engineer Ted Hubbard
Southwest Ohio Regional Liaison for Governor Kasich, Sherri Carbo
ODOT said that $2.5 billion will be used to move 936 transportation improvement projects forward throughout the state this year, including the work that will take place in our area at the Fields-Ertel/Mason Montgomery Road interchange.
Our project team will continue to work hard on the local network improvements that will ease congestion, improve safety, expand access to business and shopping, and support the work taking place to upgrade the interstate system. We are excited to see the work on the Loop Ramp begin.
