USAID Advancing Nutrition

Improving Nutrition among Children with Feeding Difficulties and Children with Disabilities

One billion people worldwide are estimated to have a disability, 80 percent of whom live in low- and middle-income countries. USAID Advancing Nutrition is working to understand and respond to the needs of children with feeding difficulties and their families by promoting inclusive policies and programs and curating resources for practitioners to improve their capacity to support inclusive nutrition programs. To foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and action, USAID Advancing Nutrition and UNICEF convened nutrition and disability experts to help strengthen inclusive nutrition programs.
