In honour of International Women’s Day, you are invited to experience and benefit from an incredible series of strong programs we have assembled with amazing partners. This year, Elevate International is transforming our one-day annual International Women’s Day conference on Parliament Hill into an engaging and interactive three-part virtual event series with a broad global reach.  This series will bring together women, champions and allies who are passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and creating new leadership opportunities for women from every walk of life. These are just a few of our keynote speakers . . . .

There has never been a more important time to support women in the workplace and the advancement of women in leadership. The events of 2020 and still ongoing turned workplaces upside down and intensified challenges that women already faced. Today, companies risk losing accomplished women leaders, future women leaders and years of hard work to advance gender diversity. For these reasons, our commitment to elevate women is even stronger.

With the support of our partners, the 2021 International Women’s Day events will be offered for FREE to all government, corporations, community builders and entrepreneurs nationally and internationally; and it is in this spirit that we are pleased to invite you to the Elevate International 3-part virtual International Women's Day 2021:

Part 1: Women Leading Globally (March 4, 2021)
Part 2: Women Leading in Philanthropy (March 5, 2021)

Together, we can help more women leaders achieve even greater impact on our society. We look forward to creating a powerful and elevating experience that attracts stakeholders from across our region, throughout the country, and around the world.  This is one of our most unifying and empowering Elevate International event to date! We look forward to seeing you on March 4th, 5th and 8th, 2021.

COVID-19 has had a disproportionate economic impact on women. To help combat this, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce has created a path to she-covery that focuses on the needs of Canadian women. Key findings include:

  • Leadership and accountability begin with a commitment from stakeholders to set collective targets, reward diversity, include women in decision-making bodies, and apply a gender and diversity lens to their strategies, policies, and programs for recovery.
  • Child care requires a short-term strategy to weather the pandemic and longer-term, system-wide reforms to improve accessibility and affordability.
  • Workforce development initiatives should focus on defining critical skills, accelerating women’s re-skilling, and ensuring their skills are utilized – with a focus on increasing their participation in skilled trade, technology, and engineering roles in fast-growing sectors.
  • Entrepreneurship should be understood as a pathway to economic growth, and an inclusive ecosystem is critical to supporting diverse women entrepreneurs.
  • Flexible work arrangements are one way to level the playing field for women and improve organizational outcomes.
