Greetings Ministry Partners,
February was an amazing month of ministry and missions in Central America. I spent 17 days teaching and meeting new potential partners in Belize and Honduras.
Our project began in Belize on February 9. I led a team of four instructors to teach the Doctrine Class (Book #5) to the class there. This class is on track to graduate in February 2026. One of the students has started a class in South Belize where he lives and is planting five churches. He is presently taking his class through Old Testament Survey, Book #2.
After a week in Belize, I moved to Honduras for the remainder of my time. My team and I traveled to the Island of Roatan and spent a couple of days with potential partners there. While on the Island, we conducted a "Resolving Conflict in a Godly Way" seminar at the First Baptist Church, Monte Placentero. Pastor Javier Sanchez has been the pastor of that church for over thirty years. He is very excited about the possibility of starting classes on the island.
The team arrived in San Pedro Sula on February 16 to teach the Bible Doctrine book to our class in El Progresso, Honduras. We had four teachers, two interpreters, one driver, and 16 students for the week. Seeing God work in our midst was amazing as we worked our way through some very difficult theology with this class. This class is also scheduled to graduate in February 2026.
While in Honduras, three preachers preached on Sunday. They each preached in two churches, so we had a great day of worship and proclamation. I also had the opportunity to preach at the 21st Anniversary of Iglesia Bautista La Primavera in El Progresso. Pastor Misael Mejia has been the pastor for many years and is doing a wonderful job reaching his community.
Please pray that the Lord will raise up the teachers to travel to Central America to teach these classes so they can graduate on time. Once they graduate, they will be teaching classes all over Central America. Also, pray for the Lord to supply the financial resources to send teachers on these teaching trips. It is not cheap these days to travel down and support a team of interpreters and drivers for a week to teach a class. However, this is a work that will change the course of the church in Central America for generations.
