Thank you for your ongoing support to the ministry of Linwood Community as we provide a faith-based, inclusive, independent living experience for moderate income adults, age 62+.

Your gifts of time, talent, and treasures support our physical community, but more importantly, they support the sense of community for which we all long.  The sense of community is about fellowship with others as a result of sharing common beliefs, attitudes, interests, and goals. We received the message below from a tenant who has benefited from your past support.  

“I heard something in church this morning. Something about having an oasis in your life. I pondered on it for a bit, and it hit me. Linwood Community is my oasis in life. The way Linwood is kept tip-top and the way we are cared for as tenants is unique. Linwood Community is not only home; it's an oasis in life. I call it the Linwood Vibe."                         

Your gifts have allowed us to celebrate the following accomplishments in 2025:

• Replaced 24 east side apartment windows.
• Repaired and repaved our east parking lot.
• Repaired and painted the east side building façade.

We hope to accomplish the following projects in 2026:

• Continue building façade refacing.
• Install additional safety grab bars and create bathtub cuts to increase tenant safety.
• Upgrade our existing elevator.
• Replace the final 10 east side apartment windows to increase energy efficiency.

We are excited to be participating in the Year End Matching Program through the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. We have received a $5,000 matching grant from anonymous donors. The funds are designated to complete window replacements for the final 10 apartments in our building. New windows help reduce our tenant energy cost and provide a more comfortable environment.
