Worship and Music
Advent Lessons and Carols, Sunday, December 3. The 10:45 a.m. liturgy will be a service of Advent Lessons and Carols with The Holy Eucharist to commence the Church New Year. This ancient liturgy provides a time to reflect on the gift of creation and humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus. Spread the word about this occasion especially for the season of Advent.
Holiday Concerts of The Choir School at St. Peter's, December 8 and 9
. Tickets are now available for the 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday performances presented by some of the most "talented young singers from every corner of Charlotte" among us.

Abbreviated 8:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist on December 10. On the day of the Annual Meeting of the Parish, the first liturgy will include a homily and other amendments that will increase post-liturgy time for the Clergy, Wardens, and Vestry to prepare for the meeting. 8:00-9:30 a.m., refreshments in the Parish House lobby and Holy Chow breakfast in the Community Room will be available.
Sunday Evenings at St. Peter's, December 10 and 17
. On December 10, the clergy will officiate a service of Evening Prayer from The Book of Common Prayer in the Chapel, and on December 17, a Taizé Holy Eucharist will be offered.

Sunday Formation for Adults, December 3, 9:30 a.m. The Parish Hall Forum features parishioner Terry Prince and the Clergy presenting "Advent: A Time to Stop, Look, and Listen - Fostering Individual Prayer Practices." On December 17, "Praying Through the 12 Days of Christmas" will be a reflection and conversation with parish lay leaders and the Clergy.

. The Clergy will facilitate a study of the "Advent Gospels and the Significance of the Blessed Virgin Mary," 6:15-7:15 p.m. at St. Peter's.

Music Fund Gifts for December
. A restricted music fund is available to enrich our worship of God through the enhancement of music and additional instrumentalists. All may offer gifts of any amount in honor or memory of loved ones to support the special music to be offered during Advent and Christmas.

Advent Tree for Supportive Housing Communities. The Advent Tree in the Parish House lobby is designated to collect specific personal items for residents of McCreesh Place. All are invited to take an ornament, purchase items, and place the gifts and ornament under the tree before Friday, December 15. Christmas stockings will be prepared by the Youth Pilgrim Class.
Chronic Care Support Group, December 1

Annual Youth Advent Fair: December 3 and 10. Prepare for the season by purchasing items at St. Peter's to benefit our next youth pilgrimage.
