“Prepare ye the way!”
John the Baptist tells people to “repent”,
which in Greek, is metanoia.
John is asking us to examine the way we are living,
while finding the barriers of sin
that hold us back from being our best self.
In the midst of busy and stressful times,
can we remember that God’s comfort
and presence is always with us?
As we wait in joyful hope
for the coming of the Lord,
can we pray to overcome
our fear and doubt of change?
Let us take the time to remember and pray.
Come, Lord Jesus!
