Do you know someone who is too old for summer day camp, but still wants to participate? The Counselors in Training (CIT) Program is designed for 12 to 14-year-olds who want to get involved (or remain involved) in summer camps and have fun this summer.

Bring your family to explore the beach, learn about tide pool life and have fun during some of the lowest tides of the year. A naturalist will guide low-tide beach exploration. This event is free!
Meet at Owen Beach. Wear shoes to protect feet from the rocky beach and bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Summer Late Nights
Monday-Friday, June 26-Sept 1; 5-10 pm at various locations
Starting June 26, Summer Teen Late Nights opens across Tacoma, with schools, community centers and non-profits opening their doors to keep teens safe and engaged. Tacoma Public Schools middle and high schoolers can get dinner every night and participate in open gym, art and music activities, and hang out with friends.

Play, Learn, & Grow Preschool
September 11, 2023 - June 10, 2024, each Monday 9:30 am-12:30 pm
ο»Ώ(Ages 3-6) Join our 5 session program that offers half-day classes for 3 to 6-year-olds. Both programs follow Washington State Early Learning & Development Guidelines. Children must be three or four by September 1 of the year they enroll and must be toilet trained. Children may be six as long as they turned six in the school year enrolled.
Pre-registration is open for the next school year 2023-2024.

Tacoma's 4th of July Summer Blast
Tuesday, July 4; 12-10:30 pm at Ruston Way & Dune Peninsula
This annual event takes place on Dune Peninsula and the iconic Ruston Way Waterfront. It features over 150 vendors, 2 stages and a 20-minute firework display.This event is the largest free community event in the South Sound.
