Gaye Lowe, the director of the Lil' Cats Preschool ministry of The Crossing, has announced her plans to retire from her position over the summer. We are very thankful for her longstanding commitment and strong leadership for the last 20 years. She taught in the ministry for three years and has been the director for 17 years. Her love for the teachers, parents, children and Jesus has helped build a wonderful outreach ministry of our church. We will honor Gaye later this summer with recognition and a celebration, so stay tuned for details.
Natalie Gass has been selected as the successor to Gaye as Director of the Lil' Cats ministry starting this summer. We are thrilled that God has provided such a capable and experienced leader to continue to lead the ministry.
Natalie brings 16 years of elementary and early childhood development teaching experience. Some of you may be aware that before teaching Kindergarten at Vandergriff Elementary, she taught at Lil' Cats for seven years (2010-2017).
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She also holds teaching certifications in Core Subjects (grades EC-6), English (grades 1-8), ESL (grades 1-8), Elementary Self-contained (grades 1-8) and Elementary reading (grades 1-8).
We cannot think of better qualifications for our next leader of the Lil' Cats Preschool ministry. She brings substantial educational and teaching experience, a deep understanding of the Lil'Cats ministry from a teacher's perspective, a love for the children, a love for our church and most importantly a deep love for Jesus. This love will serve her well in her new position.
Please join us in congratulating Natalie on her new position.
