Be Bold, Part 2

In this two-part sermon we will look at the prayer and practice of the early church as they began to experience persecution for living in the Kingdom of Heaven. What is biblical boldness and how might it differ from our modern definition of boldness? What does it mean to boldly proclaim the Gospel? How can we pray for boldness like the disciples did in Acts chapter 4? Join us as we investigate this in a two-part sermon on Biblical Boldness.

Daily Prayers, a Digging Deeper guide and coordinating Life Group Curriculum will be available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (and for all of our other sermon series) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday.

Adventure:Kids News

We are so glad to have your kids in 5th grade and below join us for Adventure:Kids this Sunday! This week the kids will be learning about their need for God’s mercy by reading a parable about a tax collector and a Pharisee in Luke 18. No matter how we see ourselves compared to others, we are all in need of God’s mercy. Our Key Passage is Exodus 34:6-7a! We'd love to have you work with your child on memorizing this verse at home!

Registering your child ahead of time helps us to make sure that we have enough support for our classes. Thank you so much for doing this! Click HERE to register. Drop off begins at 9:50am!

We can't wait to see you this Sunday!

Sermon notes and challenges for families are available on the Adventure: Kids Facebook page,

Our Adventure:Kids book of the month for November is…

The Big God Story by Michelle Anthony

The Bible is our first resource when it comes to books about God, but having extra tools in our toolbox is always helpful!

As we teach our kids sections of Scripture, narrative stories, and memory verses it is important to also teach them where these fit into the Bible as a whole. The Bible is like a library of books, but they all come together to form one big story. The Big God Story is a great teaching tool that you can use to show your kids how the Bible stories you are reading fit into God’s biggest story.

Join us for the Adventure of Faith Advent Kickoff!

(See Details in Advent Section below)

Wednesdays, December 7th and 14th:

Youth will follow their regular schedule, adults and kids can utilize the Friendship Center or the spaces we've used for after dinner discussion time to participate together in activities in the boxes.

Advent is coming!

ADVENT DECORATING DAY, THIS SUNDAY, NOV 20th

Advent Season: Sunday, November 27th - Sunday, December 25th

Advent Kick-off Event: Wed, Nov 30th

We are praying this Advent season is one filled with hope, faith, joy, and peace each week as we look forward to the birth of our Savior and learn about Biblical Generosity.

If you’d like to help us prepare for this season, join us after church on THIS Sunday, Nov 20th for an Advent church decorating day! Kids are welcome and a pizza lunch will be provided. If you are planning to participate or have any questions, please email Sam to let her know!

Advent starts on Sunday, November 27th. On that Sunday, we will be handing out Advent boxes to help guide us through the season. These weekly candle lighting activities and other prayers, activities, and devotionals have been prayerfully prepared to help us all draw closer to Jesus this season.

We hope you’ll join us Wednesday, Nov 30th as we have an Advent Worship & Tree Lighting Kick-off Event as we celebrate the joy and wonder of this season! We invite everyone to bring a dish to share in a potluck style dinner in the Friendship Center at 5:30, then move down to the Worship Center at 6:30 as we welcome in the Advent season with worship, a tree lighting, cocoa, and fellowship.

If you attended this event last year, it will be similar, but we'll be lighting a closer tree and joining for cocoa after the tree lighting instead of before. Even with a few changes, our hope for this event is the same: that as we worship together and light up the tree, we aren't just admiring some pretty lights or reading lyrics on the screen, we are heralding in the joy and wonder of this season and the gift of Christ's birth. We can't wait to do this alongside all of you!

Adventure:Equip Advent Session

Sundays starting November 27th, from 9:00-9:45am

in the Friendship Center, one class for all (including kids!)

This is the last week for small group classes! And then, with the start of Advent we also kick off a new all-church session of Adventure:Equip! Join us as we will be digging into the traditional weekly candle lighting themes. We will explore them through worship, history, tradition, and how we can apply and be mindful of the theme throughout our weeks.

There will not be a separate kids class for this session of Adventure:Equip as we would love to invite our kids to participate with us as a church family. We believe every person from the youngest to the oldest has something to offer and receive alongside one another through this class.

We hope you’ll join us at 9:00 am starting November 27th in the Friendship Center!

Men's Breakfast

Saturday, December 3rd at 9:30am

Quarterly, the men of our church come together to eat breakfast and fellowship. Come as you are and enjoy a warm breakfast and coffee. This month we will have a guest speaker walking us through a historic tour of Israel. If you have any questions, would like to get involved, or would like to serve in this ministry please reach out to Charles Greene.

Church Financial Update

If you're interested in current church finances, see our October graphic included above here.

Adventure of Faith is a very generous community of believers.

I know this because whenever we communicate a need, we meet it.

Q - Is it better for me to give a big donation once a year or smaller amounts more often?

A - Here at Adventure of Faith, we are grateful for any and all giving we receive. It supports our church family, our campus, our programs, our staff and our local/global outreach.

The short answer to your question is that you should give generously as God leads you.

However, in my own life, I've found that when I give a set amount on a weekly/monthly schedule, it becomes a regular rhythm of life, a spiritual discipline. This brings me closer to God. And financial distractions (like Amazon shopping) fall further down on my priority list.

Next week I'll answer another Adventure financial question.

Please continue to send your Adventure-related financial questions to me at: [email protected].

Adventure Awakens Cafe

Sundays: 8:30 - 10:05 am, 11:00 - 11:30 am

put them on your radar and know more details are coming!

This section is a weekly reminder that God is Good!
He is good to us every single day & we will praise His name!

Over the last few years we had realized how often we neglected celebrating all the good God is working all around us. It was a blessing to take the time to be intentional about celebrating during Celebration Sunday. This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives.

So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.

To spur your thoughts to God's goodness start by asking yourself these questions:

What Good have you witnessed recently?

What Good has God brought into your life?

What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?

God is Good!!
