Here's a summer update from our Children's Ministry Director, Callie Williamson:

Hi families with kiddos in Adventure:Kids! I wanted to send a message with some info about what's going on with Adventure:Kids this summer.

This coming Sunday, July 25th, will be our last Sunday of regularly scheduled Adventure:Kids classes for this school year. We've had an awesome year despite many obstacles. It has been really cool to see God at work in all of it! Adventure:Kids classes will resume September 12th with a really fun fall kickoff and Connection Sunday (more info to come later).

From August 1st-September 11th Adventure of Faith will be in a season of Summer Sabbath. During this time, we will be digging deeper into biblical Sabbath, a time when we stop work, enjoy rest, practice delight, and contemplate God. Families are encouraged to bring their kids to Sunday services during this series, because Sabbath isn't just for adults, it is for families with kids too!

The nursery will be open for ages 3 and under, but as always our main worship services are open to all kids no matter how young. Adventure:Kids worship kits will be available in both the Worship Center and Friendship Center. Even though we will have activities for kids to do, we still expect for kids to ask questions, make noise, and be visible. The idea isn't to pretend as though our kids aren't there, but to worship and learn alongside one another. The sound of children in service is a sign of a healthy church, not a burden! I know that this can be intimidating (my husband and I have a 3 month old, 3 year old, and 6 year old), but our church desires to be one that recognizes the integral role that our tiny disciples play in the church body as a whole. We welcome them warmly!

I look forward to worshipping with you all this summer! Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to chat further.

Blessings,
Callie Williamson
