Celebration Sunday Service & Congregational Meeting
Sunday, November 1st, During & After Service
Join us as we celebrate what God is doing in the life of our church! We can't help but praise as we celebrate baptisms, share communion, welcome new covenant partners, join our voices together, and vote on those taking next steps into serving as Elders, Deacons, and Nominating Committee members!
While the voting portion is specifically for Covenant Partners, we believe it is a meaningful part of our worship as we witness and support those God is calling into leadership. Everyone has a part to play in this celebration -- and your presence matters!
And as always, what's a celebration without a sweet treat? Join us after service for cookies and continued celebrations!
| During service we will be sharing about the Financial Report for our modified fiscal year (Jan 2026-July 2026), you can check out the report ahead of time HERE. | | Daily Prayers, Digging Deeper Guide and Sermon Notes that include Weekly Updates, Discussion Questions, and Response Suggestions are available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (for this week and ALL previous weeks) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday. | |

Thanksgiving Baskets, Christmas Baskets, & Giving Tree
Our Outreach and Deacon teams are partnering together to help provide food for individuals and families in need during Thanksgiving & Christmas, and Christmas gifts for children in need. If you or someone in the church or community are in need of a food basket or Christmas gifts for kids, and are accepting of the help, please provide them with the link to this form to fill out.. Copies of this form will also be available at the Welcome Center. Please make sure this is filled out and returned to Adventure of Faith Church by November 8th.
If you would like to support this ministry, you can donate to the Thanksgiving & Christmas Basket Fund, by visiting our Giving Page and selecting that fund from the drop down menu. We also have the option this year to contribute to a Giving Tree fund so we can collaboratively get presents for tags that need filling. If you would like to fill a gift tag with gifts yourself, they will be available at the end of November. We will also be passing around clipboards this Sunday to sign up for some non-perishable items we are starting to collect for the Christmas baskets. Thank you for helping us care for our community this holiday season!

Kids Advent Movie Afternoon: Join us on Sunday, November 22nd to watch a Christmas Movie with your church family! We will start the movie at 4:30pm and then enjoy a pizza dinner, and then, if you'd like to join us, we will help make the church look festive! We don't want to add just another thing to do on our already full calendars. More than anything, we just want to be able to offer an opportunity for our Adventure Kids and their families to take an afternoon to gather and kick off our Christmas season together.
Advent Decorating Day: Help us to decorate and prepare for the season on Sunday, November 22nd at 6:00pm. Many hands make light work and kids and youth are welcome to come and help with their grown ups! A pizza dinner will be provided.
Advent Kick-Off: Join us on Sunday, November 29th at 6:00pm for a night of worship, tree lighting, cookies and cocoa to usher in the joy and wonder of this Advent season.

This section is a weekly reminder that God is Good!
He is good to us every single day & we will praise His name!
| | |
This God is Good is shared from Leslie Fetters:
The other day as I walked into Fred Meyers, a woman stopped me to ask about my sweatshirt, "Even if..." I hesitated momentarily, and then said something vague about Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego and the furnace. The woman nodded pleasantly and went on her way. Should I have had a better, more concrete answer for her? Yes. Has my church encouraged me to memorize scripture? Also yes. But God, in His infinite wisdom, knew that nagging wouldn't help me with this task. So He gave me this opportunity to see just how the memorized Word can spread the Gospel.
"Even if He does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." -Daniel 3:18
I will be more prepared next time. God is so good!
| | |
This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives. So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.
To spur thoughts on God's goodness, consider asking yourself these questions:
What Good have you witnessed recently?
What Good has God brought into your life?
What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?
God is Good!!
