Celebration Sunday Service & Congregational Meeting

Sunday, November 2nd, During & After Service

Join us as we celebrate what God is doing in the life of our church! We can't help but praise as we celebrate baptisms, share communion, welcome new covenant partners, join our voices together, and vote on those taking next steps into serving as Elders, Deacons, and Nominating Committee members!

While the voting portion is specifically for Covenant Partners, we believe it is a meaningful part of our worship as we witness and support those God is calling into leadership. Everyone has a part to play in this celebration -- and your presence matters!

And as always, what's a celebration without cake? Join us after service for cake and continued celebrations!

Daily Prayers, Digging Deeper Guide and coordinating Life Group Curriculum are available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (for this week and ALL previous weeks) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday.

Adventure:Kids News

This Sunday in Adventure:Kids is Family Worship and Celebration Sunday. While kids in kindergarten and older will stay upstairs for the service, our preschoolers and younger will head downstairs. We are continuing with the names of God. This month the focus is on God as all powerful.

We can't wait to see you this Sunday!

Sermon notes and challenges for families are available on the Adventure:Kids Facebook page, OR click here for a pdf version.

BaseCamp is hosting the Chili + Soup Cook-Off in a couple of weeks and EVERYONE IS INVITED! Come taste chilis & soups, make a chili or soup to enter yourself, and vote for your favorites so they win prizes and have a fun night of fellowship! Youth Friendsgiving

Saturday, November 15th, from 6-8pm

You’re invited! Come celebrate Friendsgiving with us in the Friendship Center on Saturday, November 15th from 6 to 8 PM for a night of food, fun, and connection! In the spirit of giving, we’re also collecting items for Operation Christmas Child. If you’d like to help us bless kids around the world, consider bringing a few small items to help us fill as many boxes as possible! Some ideas include: small toys (like cars or dolls), school supplies (like pencils and crayons), hygiene items (like soap, toothbrushes, or combs), or clothing accessories (like hats, gloves, or socks). Questions? Contact nextgen@faithadventure.com.

Operation Christmas Child

Collection Week: November 17th-23rd

Operation Christmas Child is coming! Collection Week at our church is November 17th-23rd. Start thinking about packing boxes and helping volunteer during collection week.

To sign up for Volunteer Training or get more info about building a box, come talk to Carla in the main foyer on Sunday!

Thanksgiving Baskets, Christmas Baskets, & Giving Tree

Our Outreach and Deacon teams are partnering together to help provide food for individuals and families in need during Thanksgiving & Christmas, and Christmas gifts for children in need. If you or someone in the church or community are in need of a food basket or Christmas gifts for kids, and are accepting of the help, please provide them with the link to this form to fill out. Copies of this form will also be available at the Welcome Center. Please make sure this is filled out and returned to Adventure of Faith Church by November 9th.

If you would like to support this ministry, you can donate to the Thanksgiving & Christmas Basket Fund, by visiting our Giving Page and selecting that fund from the drop down menu. We also have the option this year to contribute to a Giving Tree fund so we can collaboratively get presents for tags that need filling. If you would like to fill a gift tag with gifts yourself, they will be available as usual, at the end of November. Thank you for helping us care for our community this holiday season!

Don't worry if you haven't heard of some of these yet...

put them on your radar and know more details are coming!

This section is a weekly reminder that God is Good!

He is good to us every single day & we will praise His name!

Last year our Operation Christmas Child drop-off location collected an incredible 2,100 shoeboxes! It was amazing to witness so many people coming together to pack a shoebox, share God’s love, and contribute to this meaningful mission. As it is quickly approaching this year, we are getting excited and looking forward to seeing what God does!

God is Good!

This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives. So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.

To spur your thoughts to God's goodness start by asking yourself these questions:

What Good have you witnessed recently?

What Good has God brought into your life?

What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?

God is Good!!
