Escape! Sermon Series

The movement in the early church had moved beyond the confines of Judaism with the Holy Spirit falling upon gentile believers.  Now, the early church faces persecution not only from the Jewish rulers but from secular authorities.  Through increased persecution, the church experiences unparalleled protection, provision, and power from the Lord.  This interlude in the narrative of Acts may seem like a strange story interrupting the story, but it is, in fact, a strong encouragement for modern-day disciples as they face the persecutions of our day.

Sunday, October 12: Responses

Peter being freed, again, from prison supernaturally incurs three different responses- one expectantly, excitedly believes, another believes after seeing, and yet another sees but refuses to submit to the reality.  How do we respond to the movements of God, to the work of the Spirit, to the Word of God, to the Gospel?  Join us this week as we look at these three responses in Acts chapter 12.

Daily Prayers, Digging Deeper Guide and coordinating Life Group Curriculum are available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (for this week and ALL previous weeks) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday.

Adventure:Kids News

This Sunday in Adventure:Kids, we learn that God was faithful to provide a wife for Isaac to know and love. God sent Jesus to earth. Jesus died and rose again so people could know and love Him.

We can't wait to see you this Sunday!

Sermon notes and challenges for families are available on the Adventure:Kids Facebook page, OR click here for a pdf version.

Adventure: Equip Fall Session

Sundays 9:00am-9:40am

Adventure: Equip is how we seek to dig in further to learning and practicing what we believe. These classes aim to prioritize understanding the Word, our theological beliefs, and spiritual practices. Our aim is not just to understand more, but study together and practice alongside one another so that our lives can be transformed. From those just beginning their adventure with Jesus to those that have traveled far with Him, there is a place for you here as we seek to be more like Jesus and become a stronger Biblical community.

There are five classes you can participate in this Fall Session, a kids class and four classes for adults and teens. CHECK OUT THE DETAILS FOR FALL CLASS OPTIONS HERE! Questions? Email Us!

Please pray for those attending the retreat this weekend as they draw closer to God, and take steps toward leaning into this Adventure of Faith.

Don't worry if you haven't heard of some of these yet...

put them on your radar and know more details are coming!

This section is a weekly reminder that God is Good!

He is good to us every single day & we will praise His name!

God is in the details, shared from a congregant

Wow - last week I got a “nudge” to send a care package to my friend. I listened and included her favorites. The package was delivered Monday. She called me on the way home from work sharing a day that was tough. Plus she had extra cooking over the weekend for others. She said, “I hope when I get home my husband will take me out to dinner.” Part of the care package was a gift card for dinner at her favorite restaurant. She sent me a picture of them enjoying supper that evening. Just wow. God is Good!

This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives. So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.

To spur your thoughts to God's goodness start by asking yourself these questions:

What Good have you witnessed recently?

What Good has God brought into your life?

What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?

God is Good!!
