Living Differently Sermon Series

There is no place like home. It’s where we feel safe, encouraged, and supported. In our walks with the Lord, He becomes our home, the center of our lives. How we live in the world evidences the Kingdom we are a part of, the Gospel we believe, and reflects the Savior that we serve. HOW we live reveals WHERE we live, our “home,” and home, after all, is where our heart is…”. Join us during this series as we wrap up the book of James, considering how we are

called to live in light of where we live.

Sunday, June 8th: Intro: Moving Day.

When we encounter the Gospel and place our trust in Jesus, we essentially move from one house to another. Christ becomes our dwelling place, and we no longer live at home in the world anymore. How we live necessitates partnership with the Holy Spirit to live as those abiding with Christ. It isn’t about doing more so much as it is about doing differently, as our actions come from a completely different zip code. Join us as we kick off this final series where we wrap up the Book of James over the course of the Summer.

Daily Prayers, Digging Deeper Guide and coordinating Life Group Curriculum are available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (for this week and ALL previous weeks) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday.

Adventure:Kids News

This Sunday in Adventure:Kids, the kids will learn about John's vision of heaven from the book of Revelation, where he saw God's throne, worship from heavenly creatures and elders, and Jesus as the only one worthy to open the scroll. They will discover that Jesus alone is worthy of all worship because He conquered sin and death and gives us eternal life.

New Key Passage: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." - Revelation 21:4

We can't wait to see you this Sunday!

Sermon notes and challenges for families are available on the Adventure:Kids Facebook page, OR click here for a pdf version.

Adventure:Equip

Sunday at 9:00am

Adventure: Equip is how we seek to dig in further to learning and practicing what we believe. These classes aim to prioritize understanding the Word, our theological beliefs, and spiritual practices. Our aim is not just to understand more, but study together and practice alongside one another so that our lives can be transformed. From those just beginning their adventure with Jesus to those that have traveled far with Him, there is a place for you here as we seek to be more like Jesus and become a stronger Biblical community. Find the Spring session classes offered HERE! Questions? Email Us!

Floats for Fathers

Sunday, June 15th after church service

On Sunday, June 15th we get to celebrate all of the awesome dads in our Adventure family! Join us out by the playground this Father's Day as Adventure:Kids hosts a special Floats for Fathers event. We'll have root beer floats for everyone, not just dads! Stay and play at the playground and take time to celebrate the many dads and dad-figures in our great Adventure family.

Let's Do Lunch

Thursday, June 19th, 11:30am-1:30pm at Puerta Vallarta

This group is for older adults to enjoy conversation, deepening relationships, delicious food, and sharing together! This gathering allows more time than the, "Hi, I am fine, good to see you," exchanges that so often occur before and after services.

We will be returning to Puerta Vallarta this month. We all know their food is yummy, and they treat us well. Join us for a fiesta! You can also come just for conversation if Mexican food doesn't agree with you. Please RSVP to Marilyn by 6/16/25 at 3:00. Text/call 360-443-2206, or email Marilyn.

Don't worry if you haven't heard of some of these yet...

put them on your radar and know more details are coming!

This section is a weekly reminder that God is Good!

He is good to us every single day & we will praise His name!

We loved getting to celebrate our High School Grads last week at Celebration Sunday, let's take a moment to continue in prayer as we celebrate God's Goodness:

"O Lord, as these graduates embark on new journeys, grant them your wisdom and courage. Remind them that you are steadfast in your love, offering guidance and support through the inevitable storms and winds of life. May they embrace both the joys and challenges they face, knowing your unwavering presence surrounds them.

Help them to see the world through your eyes, recognizing the beauty in creation and in every person. May they find their true purpose not in worldly success but in serving others and sharing your light.

Grant them a heart open to your grace and a spirit willing to follow your call, however difficult it may seem. May they be ever drawn back to your love and the knowledge that you will always be their source of strength and joy.

May these graduates find their peace in serving you and in sharing your love with the world. May they remember your comforting presence and trust in your infinite mercy as they navigate the future.

In the midst of their endeavors, Lord, help them to remember that you are the constant source of love and goodness, and that even in the ebb and flow of life, you remain the same. Amen."

This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives. So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.

To spur your thoughts to God's goodness start by asking yourself these questions:

What Good have you witnessed recently?

What Good has God brought into your life?

What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?

God is Good!!
