Celebration Sunday

Sunday, February 1st

Join us for this special service that combines our Congregational Meeting with Celebration Sunday! At this Annual Family Gathering we celebrate 2025 and look forward to 2026. This year, we will be ordaining and installing Deacons and Elders, baptizing members of our church family, participating in communion, singing our praises in worship, reflecting on all God did in our church in 2025, and looking forward to what He will continue to do in the coming year! Most of this will happen during our normal service time, but plan to stay after to continue the celebration, sign cards, and enjoy a sweet treat!

During service on Sunday, you will be receiving a copy of our Annual Report for 2025. If you would like to look through it ahead of time, or will be joining us from home a digital copy is available HERE. Please look through this document that celebrates all that God has done in and through Adventure of Faith this past year.

If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reach out by EMAIL.

Daily Prayers, Digging Deeper Guide and coordinating Life Group Curriculum are available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (for this week and ALL previous weeks) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday.

This Sunday in Adventure:Kids is Family Worship. While kids in kindergarten and older will stay upstairs for the service, our preschoolers and younger will head downstairs. We are continuing with the names of God. This month the focus is on The Lord Will Provide.

Abraham called the name of that place, "The Lord will Provide." Genesis 22:14

We can't wait to see you this Sunday!

Sermon notes and challenges for families are available on the Adventure:Kids Facebook page, OR click here for a pdf version.

Adventure:Equip Winter Session

Sundays 9:00am-9:40am

Adventure: Equip is how we seek to dig in further to learning and practicing what we believe. These classes aim to prioritize understanding the Word, our theological beliefs, and spiritual practices. Our aim is not just to understand more, but study together and practice alongside one another so that our lives can be transformed. From those just beginning their adventure with Jesus to those that have traveled far with Him, there is a place for you here as we seek to be more like Jesus and become a stronger Biblical community.

There are four classes you can participate in this Winter Session, a kids class and four classes for adults and teens. CHECK OUT THE DETAILS FOR FALL CLASS OPTIONS HERE! Questions? Email Us!

Resource Wall Updated For Lent

Lent is the waiting season leading up to Easter when we remember and celebrate Jesus' death and resurrection -- and that season starts on February 18th. During this season at Adventure we have the unique opportunity to participate with what God is already doing by reorienting our hearts and minds on Him, often by considering our lives and practices in light of Jesus' sacrifice. Many choose to fast from something, but our hope isn't in just giving something up, but that in our fasting we might turn to and depend more on God. In the upcoming weeks we will start sharing how we can engage this as a church with our weekly opportunities and take-home materials. But we also encourage you to prepare for the season in ways that you feel prompted.

With that in mind we have updated our Resource Wall for the Lenten season. It is full of books, devotionals, prayer journals, and more that have been chosen by our staff as recommendations for you to dig into this season. Please feel free to browse these choices, look through them, and then scan the QR code to find a link to purchase your own copy. This Resource Wall is located in the main foyer in the little hallway between the two tvs, and we hope that it will help you prepare for this season ahead.

Kingdom Theology 105

At this year’s annual Leadership Retreat, Session, Deacons, and Staff went back to school. The theme was “Adventure 101,” where we covered the very basics of what we believe about who our God is, who we are in Him, and the Gospel of the Kingdom.

In the “class” on Kingdom Theology, the final exam was to study the last words and prayers of Jesus to His disciples in those moments before he was arrested and crucified for our sins, then look for what Jesus had to say in these words about who He was, who we are, what He was did/was going to do/will do, what we are supposed to do and then what He said would happen. Finally, they were to look for the Gospel presented in these passages by Jess Himself.

These words in John 13-17 contain the final lessons of a teacher who had walked with His students for over three years and are laden with the very heart of Jesus’ life and teaching. We encourage you to read through these words yourself and then look at the exams the leaders of this church did (they all got full marks!), considering for yourself how you might answer these questions.

- Pastor CJ

This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives. So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.

To spur thoughts on God's goodness, consider asking yourself these questions:

What Good have you witnessed recently?

What Good has God brought into your life?

What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?

God is Good!!
