Dear St. Rose Community,
A beautiful award winning parade float, our littlest learners joining our school family for the new school year, and a little bit of hot weather were a few of the headlines of our week; no matter what the news or weather, our children find the joy in every moment. We see and hear it in their smiles, skipping, and chatter about their day as they travel through our hallways. It was also heartwarming to see all the parents, grandparents, and caregivers standing anxiously outside the preschool as their little ones emerged with excitement, and hugs. Our family is now complete and ready for a blessed year together with many adventures and accomplishments.
What a more perfect way to begin a St. Rose week than with a rose filled float in honor of our beloved Monsignor. The sun shining on Monsignor as he lead the parade down Main Street, our float filled with members of our St. Rose community showing the spirit and love that abounds within each St. Rose family member, made for a wonderful Labor Day in Newtown.
I hope you enjoy some of these highlights from our week. We look forward to continuing to share our days with you and the adventures of our students throughout the year. We know how talented our students are and that they also have great adventures and successes outside of the classroom; please share pictures and news of what else our students are up to, so we can celebrate and share them with our SRS family. Please send them to me at dean@srles.com.
We want to thank you for your patience and cooperation as we made our way through these, warmer than usual, days. We are prepared and ready to have a full day tomorrow (Friday). While we are attending mass and typically ask the boys to wear long pants; since there will still be warm temperatures, we are requesting that the boys wear the regular uniform shorts so they are comfortable throughout the day.
Sending you off with prayers and blessings for a relaxing weekend and anticipation of our first full week with full days of school filled with grand adventures.
Warmly,
Mrs. Mary Jo Bokuniewicz (Mrs. B)
