Philanthropic Snapshot - Social Impact Investment Loan Fund
Social Impact Investment Loan Fund provides loans to projects and programs that support the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation's work in Winnebago County and/or their service area. This type of fund works as a loan that is granted to an organization and then paid back with a low-interest rate.

Each loan from the Fund has different terms and low-interest rates. Once the organization pays back the Foundation, those funds can then be used again to support another project.

Many donors are attracted to supporting a Social Impact Investment Loan Fund because the Foundation gets their money back and donors can see their gift used again to support the community.

This type of fund is new to the Foundation and we are excited to offer this unique way to give for our donors.

Support the Social Impact Investment Loan Fund and make an impact in our community now, and for the future!
Case Study - Oshkosh Food Co-Op
The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation awarded the Oshkosh Food Co-Op $100,000 to support the new project. The Oshkosh Food Co-Op will provide grocery options to a part of town known as a food desert, where fresh food options are limited. For this reasoning, the Foundation is legally able to grant to the Food Co-op.

Along with support from the Foundation, donors also stepped up to support the Food Co-Op with an additional $100,000, as well as a $25,000 gift from the Women's Fund.

Some donors chose to utilize the Foundation's Social Impact Investment Loan Fund to ensure their dollars could be used again in the future by the Foundation.
