Annual Meeting 2025

The New York County Medical Society (NYCMS) installed its 187th President, Mark Milstein, MD, FAAN, at a reception in Midtown Manhattan.

Leaders from across the city’s medical, academic, and policy communities gathered to recognize the Society’s role in supporting physicians and shaping health care in New York.

Dr. Milstein brings years of clinical experience and organizational leadership to the role. He assumes the presidency following the tenure of Jessica Krant, MD, MPH, who led the Society through a period of expanded outreach and a strengthened focus on physician education and engagement.

“I am honored to serve this organization and its members,” said Dr. Milstein. “My focus this year is on building physician engagement and driving meaningful advocacy. This Society is a vital voice for doctors in New York, and we intend to make that voice even stronger.”

This past year, our focus was on equipping physicians with the tools to keep New Yorkers healthy and informed,” said Dr. Krant. “We worked to strengthen the role of organized medicine and made sure doctors understood how their voices can shape better care for our communities. That work continues.”

The Society extends its sincere thanks to the sponsors whose support made the Annual Meeting possible:

50 Years of Relentless Advocacy for Medical Liability Reform and Patient Access to Healthcare

In recent months, a wave of more than 170 presidential executive orders has introduced a rapidly shifting healthcare policy landscape. For healthcare practitioners, these changes can upend established practices, introduce legal ambiguity, and create operational challenges. From clinical protocols to funding streams, practitioners are navigating a more volatile environment with each new directive.

At TDC Group, we believe practitioners should not have to face these challenges alone. Our advocacy is rooted in protecting both practitioners and patients, ensuring that practitioners can focus on care while we focus on policy, legislation, and the legal frameworks that shape their work.
