Advocacy Alert!
Your Conservancy Board is very concerned that the city budget cuts of the last three years have had a terrible impact on our Historic Preservation Program. These cuts have reduced the number of Landmarks Commission meetings, limited their responsibilities, and raised the cost of designation applications to be affordable only for the wealthiest property owners.

Watch for an update tomorrow with a series of talking points you can use to ask council to begin restoration of the program!
We are pleased to invite you to our 2023 Annual Meeting & Preservation Awards on Saturday, June 10, from 3-5 p.m., with a reception from 2-3 p.m. This year we will be meeting back in person at the Universalist Unitarian Community Church of Santa Monica, 1260 18th Street, designed by Santa Monica's own master architect John Byers. It will also be possible to attend the meeting via Zoom. (Photo by Steve Loeper.)

Join us as we honor and recognize our 2023 Preservation Award winners for their exemplary contributions to historic preservation in Santa Monica. We'll also hold brief Board elections for Carol Lemlein and David Kaplan. To learn more about our Board members, please click here.

Prior to the meeting, from 2-3 p.m., we will host a reception with live music and light food and refreshments outside on the church patio.

Don’t miss this opportunity to recognize the people and projects that bring preservation to life in Santa Monica! RSVP to our free event today.
