Join Youth Leaders for Advocacy Training!

The Ocean Project is running a 4-week virtual "Advocacy Training" designed for youth leaders ages 15-21 who are associated in some capacity with a zoo, aquarium, and/or museum in the United States (with plans to expand globally in the future!)

Please forward this email to your network if you know anyone who might be interested, and contact us if you have any questions!

This program will equip participants with essential advocacy skills, an introduction to conservation policy and the global 30x30 initiative, and encourage strengthened conservation action both locally and globally. The content covers collaborative action, communications, and organizing, and participants will have the opportunity to talk with experts, network with their peers, and develop a strong foundation for all their future advocacy efforts.

Participants will meet for one-hour weekly sessions via Zoom, starting January 28th through February 18th, 2023. The early registration deadline is January 13th. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until January 23rd.

VICTORY: A Global Commitment to 30×30!

This week, at the United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP15), global leaders agreed to protect 30% of lands, waters, and ocean by 2030!

Thank you to everyone who played a role in the collective and collaborative efforts that helped make this global commitment a reality!
