The House Revenue & Tax Committee accepted public testimony on HB1555 this past Tuesday. HB1555 would increase the annual State HTC cap from $4 million to $10 million per fiscal year, extend the sunset from 2027 to 2037, and amend the use of the fees collected to support staff who administer the program.
Stacy Hurst, Secretary of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, with Rep. Joe Jett led the testimony. She was followed by Preserve Arkansas Executive Director Rachel Patton and QQA Executive Director Patricia Blick.
Mr. Nathan George of Joshua's Jewelry in Russellville completed the public testimony in favor of the legislation. Mr. George is awaiting his tax credit for a rehabilitation project completed last year.

No one spoke in opposition to HB1555 and several of the Revenue & Tax Committee members were familiar with the HTC program and had positive comments to share.
