Advocate Aurora Health to Substantially Expand Clinical Data Shared through WISHIN Pulse
The Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network (WISHIN), Wisconsin’s designated entity for Health Information Exchange (HIE), is pleased to announce that new sources of clinical data from Advocate Aurora Health will soon be available in the WISHIN Pulse community health record. The additional clinical data will enhance care-improvement and care-coordination efforts in Milwaukee County and throughout the state.
Advocate Aurora Health, one of WISHIN’s original participants, began sharing admit, discharge and transfer data and lab results through WISHIN Pulse in January 2014. In the coming months, AAH will begin sharing its electronic care summaries, transcribed reports, reference lab reports and radiology reports. “We’re hoping to have all the interfaces complete and the data live in the community health record later this year,” said Eric Abbott, Advocate Aurora’s IT Director of Partnerships and Innovation.
