VIDEO: Will Doctors Still Save My Life if I'm a Registered Donor? |
Many people wonder: will doctors still save my life if I'm a registered organ, eye and tissue donor? The first priority of a medical professional is to save lives when sick or injured people come to the hospital. Organ and tissue donation isn't even considered or discussed until after death is declared or a family has decided to remove ventilated support. In fact, doctors and nurses involved in a person's care before death are not involved in the recovery or transplantation of donated organs, corneas or tissues. |

Our friends at the Chris Klug Foundation are excited to expand their "Bounce Back Give Back Awards" as the new "CKF Awards". With a few changes this year, they are excited to recognize three members of the donation and transplantation community from three categories: the Hero Award; the Bounce Back, Give Back Award and the Community Champion Award. Administrative: Preparing Donor Family Quilts
We are looking for Advocates who would be willing to help us label and package donor family quilts with a card. This project would require about five minutes of training and can be done in our Denver office during the week. To sign up, e-mail Mandy with your availability. |
