The OPS's responsibilities include overseeing the logistical aspects of organ procurement. They manage the intricate details of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment required during organ recovery procedures. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of medical protocols to ensure the safe and effective handling of organs intended for donation. Beyond logistical support, Organ Procurement Specialists are deeply involved in education and conflict management within operating room settings. They work closely with medical teams to ensure procedures are executed smoothly and efficiently, often serving as a bridge between healthcare providers and our internal organ team during intense moments.
