Exciting Update: Aerotropolis Atlanta Alliance, Inc. (Aero ATL), a Metro Atlanta nonprofit committed to boosting regional economic competitiveness around Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, proudly announces a $100,000 unrestricted grant from investor Atlanta Gas Light.

This substantial grant signifies a crucial milestone in Aero ATL and Atlanta Gas Light's partnership. It reflects a mutual dedication to fostering thriving businesses and communities south of I-20, surrounding the world's busiest airport. With the flexibility of an unrestricted grant, Aero ATL can propel critical projects that support its vision of creating a premier, inclusive destination for residents, learners, workers, and visitors in the Aerotropolis Region.

The AACID is excited to announce the launch of a Microtransit Pilot Project, a 2-year initiative to evaluate the feasibility of utilizing microtransit services to enhance our current transit operations.

The City of Hapeville has been awarded $50,000 from GM and Main Street America, a national program committed to revitalizing historic downtowns. This funding will enhance Hapeville’s mission to become a vibrant Southside artists’ hub through a major national placemaking initiative.

The City of Forest Park is launching a feasibility study for an overpass pedestrian bridge that will span across SR 331/Forest Parkway and Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks. The bridge will connect pedestrians to Main Street, City Hall, Starr Park, and the proposed Model Mile Greenway Project.
