Affected AB business supports proof of vaccination to limit restrictions: ACC survey
EDMONTON — A majority of Alberta business affected by current health orders supports some form of proof of vaccination to limit restrictions, a recent Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC) survey reveals. The survey on Alberta's latest health measures, which received nearly 1200 responses, was conducted through the chamber's Alberta Perspectives market research program.

Of the 333 businesses affected by the 10 p.m. liquor curfew, 54 per cent of respondents are in favour of either mandatory (44 per cent) or voluntary (10 per cent) proof of vaccination to limit restrictions on their operations.
Fifty-four per cent of business operators affected by the current liquor curfew support some form of proof of vaccination to limit restrictions.
Of respondents who preferred government-mandated proof of vaccination, 54 per cent would consider voluntarily requiring proof of vaccination to be exempt from restrictions.
Of those who preferred government-mandated proof of vaccination, 54 per cent would consider voluntarily requiring proof of vaccination to be exempt from restrictions.
"Alberta's chamber network has long been advocating for government to provide businesses with a consistent, transparent process for health order exemptions," says ACC President and CEO Ken Kobly. "Business operators who voluntarily require proof of vaccination have shown themselves to be dedicated to the health and safety of their patrons and employees alike. Exempting them from health restrictions would recognize this commitment and help minimize economic harm."
