A Message From Our President

As we approach the end of the first quarter (yes, we’re already there!) I wanted to reflect on the milestones we have already achieved this year.

n January, Mirador, our newly completed community for seniors in Altadena, was narrowly spared by the Eaton fire with minimal damage. Our new senior residents were evacuated, but thankfully the firefighters were able to stop the fire, just across the street. We are happy to report our residents have moved back in, and the property is 100% occupied. We stand ready and prepared to help the Altadena community in the months ahead and during the rebuilding efforts. The video below was taken from an apartment balcony at Mirador. In addition, Affordable Housing Finance did a piece on Mirador and the miraculous efforts by our property management, Con Am, and service team, Union Station Homeless Services

In San Diego County, construction continues at Symphony at Del Sur, and SkyLINE; 270 future apartment homes for nearly 1,000 low-income singles, seniors, and families. Our team recently closed and broke ground on Bell Ranch, an affordable housing community with 130 homes located in Wildomar in Riverside County. In addition, we plan to close construction financing by June on two more communities in Northern California-in both San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, offering 277 affordable apartments homes in Northern California.

As always, our team here at Affirmed remain steadfast in our commitment to provide and protect the development of affordable housing for all in need, including our Veterans and our unhoused neighbors.
