Celebrating SkyLINE's Groundbreaking

Last month with MTS, we celebrated the Groundbreaking of SkyLINE, our new, mixed-use, transit-oriented, development located in San Diego at the Rancho Bernardo Transit Station. SkyLINE will deliver 99 apartment homes and 1 manager unit, as well as replacement parking stalls for MTS patrons, and approximately 14,000 SF of office space, which will house our future office headquarters!


Dignitaries in attendance included San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, County of San Diego Supervisor Joel Anderson, San Diego City Councilmember Stephen Whitburn, and San Diego City Councilmember Marni von Wilpert.

The Douglas W. Masson Memorial Scholarship is an annual scholarship sponsored by Affirmed Housing and Compass for Affordable Housing and is awarded to residents of Affirmed Housing communities throughout California. The scholarship is open to Affirmed Housing residents pursuing community college degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, PHDs, vocational education and GEDs.

2024 Brings Optimism and Pessimism Alike for Affordable Housing

Californians consistently cite affordable housing as one of their top concerns, yet each year, the state falls further behind on its own housing production goals. While the cycle is unlikely to break any time soon, this year brings new opportunities and strategies for development. Affirmed’s Vice President of Northern California, Rob Wilkins, outlines the opportunities and pitfalls expected in the affordable housing market. New Hires!

Meet Jade and Lindsey, the newest members of the Affirmed team!


Jade joined the Affirmed team in February as an Asset Manager and is based in our San Diego office. Jade previously worked for a nonprofit affordable housing developer based in San Francisco and San Diego. She graduated from California State University, East Bay with a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. In her free time, Jade enjoys Pilates classes, taking her three dogs to the park and beach, anime, and going on hikes.


Lindsey joined the Affirmed team in February as a Project Manager and is based in our San Diego office. Lindsey has been in the multifamily development industry for over 20 years. She graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in public administration and urban planning. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys playing arena polo, trail riding, and checking out new restaurants with her two sons.
