Program Funding Opportunities

The Department of Housing and Community Development's Affordable and Special Needs Housing (ASNH) Program is excited to announce the FY27 fall ASNH application will open on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026!

The ASNH Program is the consolidated, competitive application used by DHCD to award Virginia Housing Trust Fund (VHTF), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF), and Housing Innovations in Energy Efficiency (HIEE) funds towards the development of affordable multifamily rental and single-family homeownership projects across the Commonwealth.

For the FY27 fall application round, DHCD will hold two How-to-Apply Workshops to cover in detail the funding opportunities for Rental Projects and Homeownership Projects:

Homeownership Focus: Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Rental Focus: Thursday, August 13th, 2026, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
