AFM Team in Zambia!

The AFM team just concluded our training in Zambia. This trip has been an incredible success, giving firefighters and first responders across sectors in Zambia an opportunity to learn more about practical fire response, fire safety, first aid and first responder techniques. AFM staff and volunteer instructors had the opportunity to connect with Eden University, a local university committed to the advancement of the fire service, as well as the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Fire Services Association of Zambia and Zambia Airports Authority.

We look forward to continuing our work in Zambia and are excited for our upcoming trip to Kenya where will advance progress on the Active Bleeding Control project and host training in the Firefighter and EMS Symposium. See more photos from this and other trips with the Flickr link below!

The Chama a Success!

Our annual fundraiser, the Chama, was a success earlier this month! We are grateful for all our attendees, bidders, sponsors, and donors that helped make this event so memorable. We are expecting a busy 2026 and our fast progress is possible due to support by individuals like you! Consider making a recurring or one-time donation today to increase our capacity to train, empower, support, and encourage communities across Africa.

AFM Recieves Grant from
Hamilton County ReSource

We are excited to announce that AFM has received a grant from Hamilton County ReSource! This grant provides financial support for our operations to support the sustainable capacity of firefighters through reducing the waste of firefighter gear. Through this grant, we will be able to increase our ability to collect, reuse, and ship gently used gear and PPE to support firefighters in Africa.
