Regarding God's Creation
Gen 7:19  The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains  everywhere under the heavens  were covered. ... 8:4  In the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. 5 The water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible.   - NASU       (Bold emphasis added.)

Genesis Flood and Repopulation After

Geologist Dr. Clarey's presentation "The Truth of the Genesis Flood" a couple of weeks ago was a great success. There was a large overflow crowd listening with rapt attention in the big beautiful Chapel facility of Houston's First Baptist. Many thanks to HFBC for their kind permission
to use their facilities. That has been a great blessing to the GHCA for years.

For the Past year the GHCA has concentrated on geology by presented a series of classroom lectures by PhD geologists covering many aspect of geology related to the Genesis Flood. We have seen how all of the geologic evidence fits into our flood model better than the it fits into the conventional slow and gradual evolutionary geology. That certainly includes the nature of the rock layers in the geologic column. It also includes the fossil content of those rock layers and the dating isotopes in those rock layers. For example radiocarbon C-14 is still found in all parts of the fossil record. Fossils conventionally dated between 500 and 65 million years old consistently date by C-14 between 55 and 20 THOUSAND years old. Conventional geologist must explain how the entire fossil record could be filled with C-14 in the last 50 thousand years or so. But none have been able to do so!

Together this evidence provides strong and consistent support for the young creation hypothesis: that great surges of a tectonically driven catastrophic flood ripped up the previously existing environment all over the world and redeposited that material over vast continental areas or even multiple continental areas leaving
the geologic features we see today including the fossils and the dating isotopes in the rocks.

One might ask that if the evidence is so strong and comprehensive then why do most scientists still not agree? The reason is that science institutions who provide employment and research funding all insist on keeping God out of the picture. That is their fundamental assumption. So, most scientist have just not considered the large array of data contrary to the conventional view.  We at the GHCA invite all to consider all of the evidence with us and other creation organizations and PhD scientists. There are many questions to be answered yet but the progress over the last three decades has been impressive.

On April 4th we will look at how the Genesis Flood peaked and subsided toward a new equilibrium. That process reworked the surface of the thousands of feet of strata that had been laid down by the catastrophic onslaught of the Flood leaving many of the surface land forms seen today. Many episodes of mountain building occurred in the middle and late parts of the flood.

The receding flood water also setup perfect conditions for an ice age
. The oceans would be very worm which would greatly increase the evaporation and result in intense precipitation. The Earth settling back toward a new equilibrium would produce a lot of volcanoes and volcanic clouds. Those clouds would cool the atmosphere causing accumulation of snow, ice and glaciers in northern and southern latitudes. In the central latitudes there would be intense rain. At peak glaciation the sea-level would be about 360 ft lower than now and the warm water would produce a temperate border around major bodies of water. These conditions might have risen and melted back over a period of perhaps 700 years of so. Likely the strange new world that the people and animals met when leaving the Ark was the early developments of this ice age. With God's continued protection population growth would be fast, actually exponential.

GHCA Over the next year or so will look at how the people from the Ark dispersed and filed the world with people groups. Also, how civilizations, and languages developed and how all of conventional archeology fits or contrasts with this. Conventional archeology and related sciences insists that God must be kept out of the picture. This demand limits what archeologists can see and publish. As a result conventional archeology looks very little like the Bible. The convention. As a result conventional archeology can see no evidence of the dispersion from the Ark, Babel, Abraham, the Egyptian captivity, Moses, the Exodus, the Conquest. Even after that there is much controversy about the reality of the Biblical narrative leading to much later history. We will find once again that when PhD archeologists look at the actual physical evidence with the assumption that God did what He tells us in the Bible then clear evidence of God's recorded activity becomes clear.  As always when we view these classroom lectures by PhD scientists, we will stop at important points and take question and invite discussion.

Examples of Important YEC Scientific Evidences

Some major examples of physical evidence we point to include:
  • Remains of original soft tissue still found in dinosaur bones. Along with that tissue is C-14 that would decay completely away in less than a hundred thousand years, a tiny fraction of the dinosaur fossil's supposed age.
  • For many years geologists have found C-14 in fossil carbon throughout the fossil record. So, the entire fossil record is less than 100,000 years old.
  • The origin of the information and molecular machinery in the first living self-reproducing cell remains a complete enigma for biologist and biochemists.
  • In the origin of the universe, big bang theory is being recognized as a dead end by increasing numbers of secular scientists. The hypothesized inflation has nothing to start it, drive it forward, or stop it. Without inflation fatal flaws appear with the absence of predicted antimatter, magnetic monopoles, or any means for the whole universe to come to the same precise background temperature. Then the formation of the first stars is as enigmatic as the origin of the first biological cell. Dark matter and dark energy are as enigmatic as the galactic motions they are needed to explain.
At the root of all standard science are many assumptions that may be quite incorrect. At the top is that there is no God. Another is that present process can be used to explain everything in the past. When we look at a canyon we are taught to assume the river at the bottom cut the canyon. But perhaps tectonic events made the canyon and there is a river at the bottom because water always flows downhill. At the root of big bang theory is a pure assumption that has been named the "Cosmological Principle". Perhaps inaccuracies there are responsible for the big bang's multitude of problems.

There is more about the role of assumptions in science found on our website here. There are many more resources on young earth and young universe evidences here.
