Celanese and Social Venture Partners Dallas Launch Social Impact Program
For six weeks this fall, a team of three rising-star Celanese employees are engaging in a skilled-based volunteer project with After8. The Celanese Community Impact Program, powered by SVP Dallas, brings together Celanese Corporation employees and SVP Dallas Partners to work on capacity building projects with local nonprofit organizations.
AT&T Believe Dallas Volunteers Host Dinner at Fannie C. Harris Youth Center
Dallas youth and community volunteers routinely gather at the Drop-In Center for family-style dinners. This month, AT&T Believe Dallas volunteers sponsored a meal and game night. Thank you to AT&T's Sandi Lester, Charmaine Williams, Nicole Abbas, Jay Ortiz, and Dane Rickett for facilitating a fun evening for youth experiencing homelessness!
After8 Collaborative Presents:
A Night For Youth
To commemorate National Homeless Awareness Month, the After8toEducate Collaborative is hosting A Night For Youth on November 16 at the Fannie C. Harris Youth Center. This event includes a screening of Lost in America, a feature documentary following a former homeless youth. In lieu of an admission fee, please bring a brand new winter item: coat, blanket, hat, gloves, and/or scarf.
Volunteer Opportunities
After8 is soliciting volunteers for several activities this fall. Join us on November 1 for a garden workday or on December 7 for a painting project!

Wells Fargo announces $100,000 investment in After8toEducate program to house homeless Dallas ISD high school students
After8 gratefully announces a $100,000 gift from Wells Fargo. “The Fannie C. Save the Date: Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is coming up on December 3, 2019. Funds donated on Giving Tuesday will help After8 purchase washers and dryers for the Fannie C. Harris Youth Center residential services area. Click here for more information.

Save the Date: Youth Homeless Address
Join the Metro Dallas Youth Committee on November 19 for an afternoon of conversation, growing, and learning about youth homelessness in Dallas. The Youth Homeless Address will include a presentation on data from recent youth counts, opportunity to hear from young people who have experienced homelessness, and more. Click here to RSVP.
After8toEducate ("After8") is a first-of-its-kind, collaborative effort to support unsheltered youth enrolled in Dallas Independent School District high schools and provide immediate support services for homeless young adults ages 14-21. Powered through Social Venture Partners Dallas, After8 harnesses the strengths of Dallas ISD and nonprofit agencies Promise House and CitySquare.
