Dear families,

With most of our families back on campus, we are experiencing some growing pains as we all become accustomed to our student pick-up routine. We have some tighter external parameters that have been very helpful in forcing us to discover new ways to maximize efficiency in the system. Please know that we are aware of the current inefficiencies and are working to address them. As parents, there are two things we must ask you to do and two suggestions that would help with our efficiency.

MUST:
  • Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the pick-up time. We have limited queuing space so early arrivals require personnel to be pulled out of classes earlier. This is 2:55 on standard days and 12:45 on Wednesdays.
  • Do not block intersections or entry-points to neighboring businesses. We need to be good neighbors, but this also creates potential for accidents on McDowell road. We know it is hectic, but we also need to be safe. See specific areas of concern on the image below.
Helpful if possible:
  • Car Pool Total number of cars is the leading factor; reducing this will improve our time.
  • Join the second wave Arriving mid-way or toward the end of pick-up will reduce your wait time and help us keep cars off McDowell.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work this out. I am confident we can come together and make our student pick-up time more enjoyable.

 Heartily Devoted,
