This is a biweekly newsletter featuring program spotlights, resources, grants & professional development opportunities for the afterschool industry in Florida. Together, we are working to provide every child in Florida with high-quality afterschool opportunities that are accessible, affordable, accountable & inclusive.
As Hurricane season officially begins, we took a few moments to catch up with Nikki Kelly from Girls Inc. of Bay County during the last Florida Afterschool Communications Collaborative to share the progress Girls Inc. is making in Panama City since Hurricane Michael. Learn more about Girls Inc. and what plans they have for summer 2021.
If you have an idea for an afterschool spotlight, email Holly to help share your story!
Registration is officially open!
We are hosting a Public Policy Forum on August 6, 2021, in Orlando, for afterschool and expanded learning leaders, school district administrators, superintendents and school board members, policy experts and youth advocates. Together, we will explore research-based information and innovative strategies to more effectively serve students and parents in the afterschool environment. Sessions will focus on advocacy, accelerating learning recovery, sustainability and meeting the academic, social and emotional needs of students. This collaborative and solution-focused event will explore how our state can increase high-quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities for all.
The call for presenters is officially open!
Do you have important best practices to share with the educator community? Are you an expert on a cutting-edge issue in youth development or education? Can you captivate a crowd?

Well, it's time to bring your ideas to a national audience – become a presenter at Beyond School Hours 2022 for our 25th annual conference!

This year we'll see you in Orlando, Florida, from February 23-26, 2022.
