ACTIVIDADES DESPUÉS DE ESCUELA EN TAPA Y LA COMUNIDAD

Hoping this message finds you well. If we haven't met yet, my name is Mr. Ricky (mr.strickler@tapaprovidence.org) and I'm one of the paraprofessionals here. I've also been working this year to try to figure out what after-school programming at TAPA can look like during COVID. We're still working on that, but we do have some really good options already happening that you can check out. 

Why should you join an after school program through TAPA? First off, we have a great time. And even though it means a little more screen time each day, it's also a chance to get to hang out and see people we don't get to see during the day. It's low-key and a chance to be creative and free to try different things together. If you have an idea for a club, let us know!

Esperando que este mensaje los encuentre bien. Si aún no nos conocemos, mi nombre es Mr. Ricky (mr.strickler@tapaprovidence.org) y soy uno de los paraprofesionales aquí. He estado trabajando este año para para tratar de averiguar cómo se verá la programación después de la escuela en TAPA durante COVID. Todavía estamos trabajando en eso, pero ya tenemos algunas buenas opciones que puede consultar.
 
¿Por qué debería participar en un programa extracurricular a través de TAPA? Primero que nada, lo pasamos muy bien. Y a pesar de que significa un poco más de tiempo frente a la pantalla de la computadora, también es una oportunidad para pasar el rato y ver a personas que no podemos ver durante el día. Es relajado y una oportunidad para ser creativo y tener la libertad de probar cosas diferentes juntos. Si tienes una idea para un club, ¡avísanos!

When: Fridays After-School (3:30 to 4:30)
Why: In this Club, you'll get to build and design electronics, mixing art with engineering and building. If you are interested in technology, this is a place for you to be. Hit up Mr. Lopez or join the link Friday after school.

Por qué: En este Club, podrás construir y diseñar electrónica, mezclando arte con ingeniería y construcción. Si estás interesado en la tecnología, este es un lugar para ti. Comunícate con Mr. López o reúnete el viernes después de la escuela usando el enlace.
What: Creative Writing Studio
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays After-School (3:30 to 4:30)
Why: In Creative Writing, we work on writing our own poems, songs, and stories. If you sing, rap, tell stories, or just like writing, you should come hang out with us. We give each other feedback to improve our work but also show each other a lot of love. Hope to see you there!

Por qué: En Escritura Creativa, escribimos nuestros propios poemas, canciones e historias. Si cantas, rapeas, cuentas historias o simplemente te gusta escribir, deberías venir a pasar el rato con nosotros. Nos retroalimentamos mutuamente para mejorar nuestro trabajo, pero también mostramos mucho amor. ¡Espero verlos allí!
What: Empowerment Group for Students who Identify as Female
Who: Ms. Svetlana (ms.goretaya@tapaprovidence.org)
When: Tuesdays After-School (3:30 to 4:30)
Why: The Empowerment Group for students who Identify as Female is a chance to connect with other young female-identifying students at the school and discuss what’s going on in the school and in the world. It is a great way to share space and support each other throughout the year.

Qué: Grupo de empoderamiento para estudiantes que se identifican como hembras
Quién: Ms. Svetlana (ms.goretaya@tapaprovidence.org)
Cuándo: martes después de clases (3:30 a 4:30)
Por qué: El grupo de empoderamiento para estudiantes que se identifican como hembras es una oportunidad para conectarse con otras estudiantes jóvenes que se identifican como hembras en la escuela y discutir lo que está sucediendo en la escuela y en el mundo. Es una excelente manera de compartir espacio y apoyarse mutuamente durante todo el año.

When: Wednesdays After-School (3:30 to 4:30)
Why: This group is a chance to unwind at the end of the day, talk through how things went, and get some work done together if you want to. It’s low pressure and the first goal is keep our stress levels low by supporting one another.

Cuándo: miércoles después de clases (3:30 a 4:30)
Por qué: Este grupo es una oportunidad para relajarse al final del día, hablar sobre cómo fueron las cosas y trabajar juntos si lo desea. Es de baja presión y el primer objetivo es mantener bajos nuestros niveles de estrés apoyándonos unos a otros.
