OCTOBER REMINDERS!

Join us for our October PTO Meeting Mix and Mingle!

Get to know other parents in the PTO and have some fun doing it.

We hope to see you Wednesday, October 14th at 6:30pm in the Afton Staff Lounge

Date: Friday, October 23rd

Where: Afton School Parking Lot

Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Cost: Admission fee is required for all participating children.

$7 per child through October 16th (early bird pricing)

$12 per child October 17th-23rd

We are so excited to provide this fun Halloween event for the whole family! Afton students and their siblings are welcome - admission fee is required for all children who participate. Your Cheddar receipt will be your admission ticket to the event (print or just show on phone). Cost of tickets will increase starting October 17th.

Event includes: DJ, CANDY, FOOD TRUCK (cash or credit card), WATER ICE, and PRIZES

If you are decorating a trunk, admission is free for your family.

Library Volunteers Needed!

Dear Library Volunteers,

Welcome back to a new school year at the Afton Library! I am so happy to have our wonderful volunteers back and appreciate all the time and support you give to our students and library. 

Please take a moment to sign up for a volunteer shift during the month of October. I have included two short videos at the top of the SignUpGenius to help everyone get started. The first video shows how to check books in and out and is especially helpful for our new volunteers. The second video explains some changes I have made to where books are located and how they are being shelved. Please take a few minutes to watch these before your first volunteer shift.

I am always flexible with volunteer times, so please let me know if you need to make a change to your scheduled time. We do ask volunteers to sign up for the full shift when possible because we need help with all of the classes throughout the day.

Thank you again for volunteering and for helping make the Afton Library a welcoming and successful place for our students. I am looking forward to another great year together!
