ASHCA Call for Abstracts - Lightning Talks & Poster Presentations

The Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America (ASHCA) invites abstract submissions for Lightning Talks and Poster Presentations at the 2025 ASHCA Summit taking place from October 20-22, 2025 at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas.
This is your opportunity to share research, programs, or practical interventions that improve the health and safety of agricultural workers, farm families, and others in production agriculture. Submissions are open to the public, with priority given to abstracts focused on real-world applications that address current challenges in agricultural safety and health.

Lightning Talks: A fast-paced format where authors deliver a 3-minute oral overview of their work to the full audience.

Poster Presentations: Authors will display and discuss a visual poster of their work during designated networking and exhibit times.
This forum encourages cross-sector collaboration among researchers, educators, risk managers, and industry leaders — all working toward safer agricultural environments.

2025 Nordic Meeting on Agricultural Occupational Health
September 2-4, 2025, in Ystad Saltsjöbad, Sweden

The theme of this event is, “Joint Actions for Farmer Health and Mental Wellbeing,” in order to show the importance of working together to improve and support farmer health and wellbeing. The event is organized by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with our Swedish and Nordic colleagues, and sponsored by the European Union. The main theme will be on the Nordic perspectives, but the conference language is English and international participants are welcome to attend and present! Information about submission of abstracts, registration, travel and other practical issues is available at www.nmaoh2025.com.

The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) is accepting submissions for a Special Issue titled “Public Health: Rural Health Services Research—2nd Edition.”
This issue will highlight innovations and research addressing the persistent health disparities faced by regional, rural, and remote communities. These populations often experience limited access to care, workforce shortages, and poorer health outcomes compared to urban counterparts.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Design, delivery, and evaluation of rural and remote health services
- Health workforce development, training, and retention
- Integrated healthcare models and telehealth
- Technological innovations in healthcare
- Environmental and public health
- Capacity building and community-based approaches
- Health policy and universal health coverage
- Indigenous and First Nations health
- Care for marginalized or disadvantaged populations
This multidisciplinary Special Issue encourages collaboration between clinicians, public health professionals, and researchers to address critical environmental and public health challenges.
