Dr. Stackhouse-Lawson at the Colorado Ag Forum

In February, Dr. Kim Stackhouse-Lawson spoke at the Colorado Ag Forum. This educational event had a number of high-profile presenters including Governor Jared Polis. In her presentation, Dr. Stackhouse-Lawson gave an overview of AgNext and discussed the challenges and opportunities in animal agriculture research.

AgNext Graduate Students Making Thesis Progress

AgNext graduate student, Lauren Newman, presented her thesis work to a general seminar earlier this month. This presentation of her work, which studied the quality and value of lamb, was in fulfillment of a course requirement to graduate. Lauren is on track to graduate with her master's degree this Spring!

AgNext graduate student, Ashley Schilling, defended her thesis earlier this month. Her thesis project studied tannin supplementation and enteric methane emissions in dairy heifers. This important research project was done in partnership with our Industry Innovation Group partner, Aurora Organic Dairy. Ashley is also on track to graduate with her master's degree this Spring.
