AgNext Hosts Agricultural Leaders at Research Facilities | | |
Earlier this month, the AgNext team had the opportunity to host two high-impact groups at our research facilities during visits to Colorado State University: Congressional and USDA staff connected with the House and Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittees, and the Field to Market Board of Directors.
During the Agriculture Appropriations visit, AgNext, CSU representatives, and stakeholders shared an overview of ongoing cattle research, research facility needs, industry partnerships, and opportunities to support agricultural research and education. The visiting group included congressional staff involved in developing annual USDA appropriations legislation, as well as USDA budget staff.
Later in the month, the Field to Market Board of Directors visited AgNext as part of their time at CSU. Their visit included a tour of our Climate-Smart Research Pens with Dr. Sara Place and poster presentations from AgNext graduate students and professional research staff.
Together, these visits provided valuable opportunities to connect with leaders in agricultural policy, industry, and research to share how AgNext is advancing science-based solutions for sustainable animal agriculture.
| | Ag Week at Colorado State University | | This month, Colorado State University celebrated Ag Week, an annual tradition recognizing CSU’s rich agricultural history. The AgNext team was proud to participate in several events throughout the week, connecting with students and community members and sharing more about our work in sustainable animal agriculture. | | | | |
