We will gather this Wednesday at 7:00 for Game night and have a discussion about what new topics we would like to add to our gathering.

Come play, laugh, eat and discuss!

MCC Moderator offers prayers for
on behalf of MCC congregations around the world.

Let us join our hearts together in prayer:

God of many names, known as sacred by many peoples
Your land of Australia cries out, your people of Australia cry out to you.

Around the world, we join our voices with them in prayer. We bear witness to the suffering of the earth, its wildlife and its people.

We pray for rain and for the winds to die down

We pray for the end of the fires that rage and destroy

We pray for those who have lost their lives, their loves ones, their homes and businesses

We pray for true leadership to deal with the current emergency

We pray for vision, wisdom, commitment and action from leaders around the world to protect our planet

We pray for determination and focus in each one of us, that each of us may be good stewards of your creation

We give thanks for all those who are working tirelessly to bring the fires under control

We give thanks for the many who are providing shelter and comfort to those affected

We give thanks for those who are already rebuilding communities
We give thanks for those who are speaking truth to power
We give thanks for those who will bring change

Let us be among them

We received the following email from Matthew W. Roberts, PhD (Pronouns: He, Him, His), Partnership Specialist, 2020 Census, U.S. Census Bureau/Dallas Regional Census Center

Dear 2020 Census Partners and supporters,

During this celebratory season and with the new year nearly upon us, the Census Bureau and I would like to thank you for your support of the 2020 Census and efforts to ensure it is a complete success. Incredible progress is being made in preparation for April 1st. Soon you will see a surge in our 2020 Census national media campaign. This will get people thinking about the census and possibly create some conversation-starters for your outreach efforts.

As we continue to prepare, a key piece of 2020 Census logistics still needs to be fully accomplished: recruiting enough workers to conduct these massive operations. Not a holiday present per se, but you might be giving the gift of knowledge by letting people know we are recruiting right now for tens of thousands of jobs. They can go to:
