Giving Tuesday Campaign
McLean Youth Soccer’s End-of-Year Campaign is just around the corner, and we invite our entire community to join us in ensuring that every child who wants to play soccer can, regardless of financial circumstances.
How You Can Help
-
Donate Today: Our goal is to raise $50,000 by December 31. Thanks to early gifts, we’re already on our way, but we need your support to close the gap. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly supports a player’s ability to step on the field.
-
Spread the Word: Encourage family, friends, and teammates to join in. If every MYS family gave just $20 per player, we would reach our goal together.
-
Get Involved: Your advocacy is powerful. By sharing our mission, you help ensure that MYS continues to be a place where every child has the opportunity to play.

Girls Academy: East Regional Recap
Last weekend three McLean teams traveled to Bradenton, Florida for their first-ever East Regional event at IMG Academy. McLean’s 2014, 2013, and 2012 Girls Academy teams participated in the opening Girls Academy event of the year and their first since McLean joined the league.
All three teams found success across their matches. The 2014s, led by Coach Michael Newhall, finished at the top of their bracket, winning all three games against strong opponents from Chicago, New York, and Oklahoma.
The 2013s, also coached by Michael Newhall, topped their bracket as well, earning two wins and one tie against teams from Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Ohio.
The 2012s, coached by Farzad Mahmoudpour, battled through tough competition against Club Ohio, NEFC, and Sockers FC.
The weekend was filled with new experiences both on and off the field. A highlight for the players was meeting Girls Academy Director, Patricia Hughes. This is just the beginning for our Girls Academy teams. Our older age groups will head to California for their first GA event the first weekend of December.
