William Faloon, President & Co-Founder, Life Extension Foundation

Dipnarine Maharaj, M.D., Founder & Medical Director, South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute

Dr. Aubrey de Grey, Chief Science Officer, SENS Research Foundation

Event Abstract

Dr. Aubrey de Grey has been featured on CBS News 60 Minutes and the covers of major magazines. Dr. de Grey has meticulously laid out a plan for achieving the medical conquest of aging. Many in the scientific community invite Aubrey to speak at biomedical conferences worldwide. There are now opportunities to reverse many of the aging mechanisms identified by Dr. de Grey.  William Faloon, co-founder of the Life Extension Foundation, has been on the forefront of several research initiatives designed to induce systemic rejuvenation in older humans.  Dr. de Grey and Mr. Faloon presented a unified proposal to accelerate clinical trials aimed at reversing pathological aging in older individuals. This Age Reversal Exposition opened up with a brief presentation on an easy way for adults to slash their risk of kidney failure and stroke. Dr. de Grey shared exciting research that may unlock the aging process and help us to turn back the clock.   Dr. Dipnarine Maharaj, director of the South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Institute described one of the most innovative age reversal initiatives being spearheaded at his institute.  Mr. Faloon followed with unprecedented opportunities to circumvent these degenerative processes and enable older individuals to grow biologically younger. This seminar took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 8, 2016.

Life Extension Foundation

William J. Faloon is President and Co-Founder of Life Extension Foundation, and is Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, Age Reversal Therapeutics, Inc. He compiled the 1,500 page medical reference book Disease Prevention and Treatment, and his latest book is Pharmocracy: How Corrupt Deals and Misguided Medical Regulations Are Bankrupting America-and What to Do About It

The Life Extension Foundation (LEF) is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, established by co-founders Saul Kent and William Faloon in 1980. Its primary purpose is to fund research and disseminate information on life extension, preventive medicine, anti-aging and optimal health as well as sports performance, with a focus on hormonal and nutritional supplementation, deriving much of its income from the sale of vitamins and supplements. Life Extension Foundation has accomplished over 190 pioneering achievements Life Extension Foundation has over 100,000 members and each month mails 300,000 copies of Life Extension Magazine to newsstands, subscribers, and members.

To promote Life Extension's innovative medical concepts, Mr. Faloon has been featured in hundreds of media appearances including The Phil Donahue Show, The Joan Rivers Show, Tony Brown's Journal, ABC News Day One, and Newsweek magazine.
Founder and Medical Director
South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute

Dr. Dipnarine Maharaj is the founder and Medical Director of the South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute, one of the few completely outpatient bone marrow/stem cell transplant facilities in the United States. He was also involved in the establishment of bone marrow/ stem cell transplant programs at the University of Miami and for other communities in Florida. He has been involved with clinical research studies using stem cells in the areas of cardiac regeneration, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer treatments. Most recently, he has secured an Investigator-initiated IND from the FDA to study a novel treatment of solid tumors using only healthy white blood cells. Dr. Maharaj earned both his medical degree and research doctorate at the University of Glasgow Medical School. He is also certified in Internal Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians of the UK, and has accreditations in Hematology, specializing in oncology and bone marrow transplantation. He has been a lecturer on Internal medicine, hematology, and bone marrow transplantation at medical schools and universities in the US and Europe, and is currently Professor at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Biomedical Science, UMMSM regional campus at Florida Atlantic University.

Research area: the role and causes of all the accumulating and eventually pathogenic molecular and cellular side-effects of metabolism that constitute mammalian aging; the design of interventions to reverse and/or obviate this accumulation.

Dr. Aubrey de Grey is a biomedical gerontologist based in Cambridge, UK and Mountain View, California, USA, and is the Chief Science Officer of SENS Research Foundation, a California-based 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to combating the aging process. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Rejuvenation Research, the world's highest-impact peer-reviewed journal focused on intervention in aging. He received his BA and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1985 and 2000 respectively. His original field was computer science, and he did research in the private sector for six years in the area of software verification before switching to biogerontology in the mid-1990s. His research interests encompass the characterisation of all the accumulating and eventually pathogenic molecular and cellular side-effects of metabolism ("damage") that constitute mammalian aging and the design of interventions to repair and/or obviate that damage. He has developed a possibly comprehensive plan for such repair, termed Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence (SENS), which breaks aging down into seven major classes of damage and identifies detailed approaches to addressing each one. A key aspect of SENS is that it can potentially extend healthy lifespan without limit, even though these repair processes will probably never be perfect, as the repair only needs to approach perfection rapidly enough to keep the overall level of damage below pathogenic levels. Dr. de Grey has termed this required rate of improvement of repair therapies "longevity escape velocity". Dr. de Grey is a Fellow of both the Gerontological Society of America and the American Aging Association, and sits on the editorial and scientific advisory boards of numerous journals and organisations.

About Age Reversal Therapeutics, Inc.

Our Mission: "The ultimate goal of Age Reversal Therapeutics is to identify, develop, and make available validated therapies that can induce measurable, systemic and meaningful reversals of degenerative aging processes in humans, while extending healthy life spans."

Age Reversal Therapeutics, Inc., has been established to rapidly transform already developed medical technologies into the human clinical arena.  Our objective is to leave no scientist unfunded whose technology is far enough advanced to safely test in senescent individuals, many of whom have volunteered to participate in this unprecedented endeavor.

The initial goal of Age Reversal Therapeutics, Inc., is to fill missing biological gaps that confine humans to frustratingly short life spans. Even modest success may enable people today to regain some of their lost functional vitality.  A key objective of Age Reversal Therapeutics is to engineer cellular DNA so there will be no upper-limit threshold whereby maturing humans will be deprived of youthful health and well-being.
