QSR - Due 4/30

QSR_Image_p1.png

It's that time again! QSR time!

As a reminder, the percentage of food acquired through the NH Food Bank should include all Agency Express Orders, Indoor Shopping, Retail Pickups, NH Feeding NH and Enabled Food Drives such as Tackles Hunger or Stuff-a-Cruiser.

Please be as accurate as you can on these reports as our grants team uses these numbers to obtain grants for food purchasing for us to keep Agency Express stocked!

Partner Agency Network Call - 4/10

On April 10th at 11am, we will be coming together as a network once again to go over what's new at the NH Food Bank, important changes and updates that affect our network, and keep our Partner Agencies informed and included. During this call you will hear from NH Food Bank leaders and staff, a special guest detailed below and there will be time for questions and feedback.

Special Guest: Jacob Posner, a student at Dartmouth University built a free tool that shows New Hampshire residents what government benefits they qualify for. The process takes about 2 minutes and will show eligibility for SNAP, Medicaid, EITC, LIHEAP, SSI, etc. He will be showing everyone this tool during this call.

Volunteer Appreciation Week!

Volunteer_Appreciation_Week_2026_p1.png

The week of April 19-25 is Volunteer Appreciation Week! We'd like to take the time to thank each and every volunteer that donates their time to the many organizations that make our network great.

A majority of our food pantries, soup kitchens, backpack programs and more are 100% volunteer run. Most are not getting paid for all that they do and wear so many hats to make sure that everyone is getting the food and support they need.

Thank you, again, for all that you do for those you serve.

Feeding America's

Food Assistance Polling Webinar

You’re invited to join a webinar exploring new polling from our partners at Feeding America on effective ways to talk about food assistance programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Register for Feeding America’s food assistance polling webinar taking place on

Thursday, April 2, from 3-4 p.m. ET.

During the session, presenters will share the SNAP messages that resonate most with the public and offer practical guidance on applying these findings in your advocacy efforts.

In partnership with PerryUndem and Bellwether Research, Feeding America examined how a range of audiences respond to different SNAP messages. Drawing on polling data, message testing and real-world insights from food bank leaders who regularly engage lawmakers across the political spectrum, Feeding America identified themes and narratives that consistently break through.

For questions about the webinar, please email policy@feedingamerica.org.

Order Pickup Reminders!

warehouse_illustration.jpg

As we move into the Spring, it is a great time to provide all partner agencies with some reminders regarding food orders. Please be sure to share this information with anyone at your agency that picks up food orders.

  • There is no need to arrive early for your appointment time as you will not receive your order before the scheduled time. If you are running late, please call the NHFB to let them know so your order is not brought out.
  • When picking up your order (at our facility or at a delivery) you should first verify the paperwork on the pallet to ensure the agency number and that it is the correct order, then check your invoice to make sure that everything is accurate and that you have all the items you ordered.
  • Do not enter the warehouse using the bay/loading doors. These doors are only for exiting the warehouse. Everyone should enter the warehouse only using the blue “Agency door”.
  • Do not stand on or pick up pallets. They can easily break under your feet and offer a risk of falling or injury.
  • Please do not lift, stack or move pallets. We'll take care of that!
  • Stand clear of all machinery (stationary or moving), including electric pallet jacks and fork lifts. Best practice is to keep a minimum of 4 feet away from all machinery.
  • Closed toe shoes are required to enter the warehouse. No food or drink is allowed at any time. The use of cell phone is not permitted at any time in the warehouse. This includes texting, talking on the phone, or listening to headphones and earbuds.
  • Approved shoppers (who have done the appropriate training and signed a waiver) have 20 minutes to shop and pick up an order. Please be considerate of the agencies before and after your scheduled time.

Annual Handbook Signature

For 2026, we will be requiring all Partner Agencies to sign the 2026 Partner Agency Handbook. This will have some updated sections and some clarification on certain topics. We will not be requiring any other documents during this annual signature but we will be asking for some contact information and program information so we can make sure we're up to date.

You do not need to sign the current handbook at this time. We will let you know when the updates are ready!

Safety in the Warehouse

As part of our commitment to keeping everyone safe in our building, there will be some changes coming for our warehouse that will impact tour groups, staff and partner agencies.

As of January 2026, all agency shoppers inside the warehouse are required to wear reflective vests to utilize the shopping area. There will be vests available right inside the agency door and can be returned after shopping is complete.

Thank you for your cooperation in making sure that everyone stays safe!
