NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council will hold its next regular meeting in person tomorrow to consider several key agenda items, including:

A zoning docket (ZD 50/22) with a request from the Krewe of Red Beans for a Conditional Use to permit a cultural facility with a bar and live entertainment (secondary use) in an HM-MU Historic Marigny/Tremé/Bywater Mixed-Use District.

Resolution R-22-446 recognizing October as national LGBT History Month.

This item will be taken up at approximately 12 PM.

Ordinance 33,878 authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement (CEA) between the City and the BioDistrict New Orleans to use incremental increases in undedicated taxes collected within the boundaries of the District to spur economic development activities and bioscience and health products.

A legislative grouping (Ord. 33,867 & corresponding amendment) amending the City Code to require the Department of Property Management to regularly inspect the City’s immovable property and to publicly report information regarding the condition of such property.

Motion M-22-449 directing the City Planning Commission (CPC) to consider amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO) to re-establish and expand the boundaries of the University Area Off-Street Parking Interim Zoning District (IZD), which would require off-street vehicular parking for any increase in the number of existing bedrooms within certain boundaries.

Ordinance 33,745 amending the City Code to distinguish between and provide regulations for bicycles and electric scooters.

Ordinance 33,877 amending the City Code to create a food pop-up licensing and permitting program.

Ordinance 33,857 amending the City Code to increase penalties for littering and dumping and increase the amount of the reward for littering and dumping.

Ordinance 33,894 amending the City Code to improve the quality of life of the residents of New Orleans by streamlining and making more effective the Code Enforcement process.

Ordinance 33,895 to provide application eligibility for the New Orleans Recreation and Culture Fund.
-
Motion M-22-436 directing the Council Utilities Regulatory Office (CURO) to issue and advertise a request for qualifications for legal consultants.

Two resolutions (R-22-437 & R-22-438) granting modified approval of the joint application of Entergy New Orleans' and Louisiana Utility Restoration Corporation to issue storm recovery bonds.

Ordinance 33,896 clarifying that the City should not collect, report or develop policies covering the collection or reporting of data or information related to abortion, miscarriage, or other reproductive health care acts.

Resolution R-22-430 approving the issuance of up to $45M of Drainage System Limited Tax Bonds.

Motion M-22-441 declaring an emergency the need for the Health Department’s Healthcare for the Homeless dental lab services, and authorizing the Health Department to secure up to three informal bids for emergency procurement of dental lab services.

Motion M-22-447 directing the CPC to consider establishing a new Lower Algiers Rural Protection IZD.
