Experts are alerting businesses that as coronavirus concerns grow and more employees work from home, hackers will increase attacks. Businesses need to prepare themselves and their personnel, by ensuring that they stay alert and continue cybersecurity practices. For example, avoid using email to convey sensitive information, but if email has to be used be sure it is encrypted. Also, do not forget to use appropriate fund transfer practices: verify and confirm, with independent sources, before clicking on a link or attachment, responding to emails, or transferring funds, as well as other security initiatives.
