Experts continue to alert individuals and businesses that, as concerns over the coronavirus grow, criminals are increasing attacks. We have warned businesses regarding the need to prepare themselves and their personnel, to continue to stay alert during this time, and also to continue using cybersecurity practices. Be skeptical of communications, regardless of how they are received, and verify and confirm before acting on them.  To highlight this point, see articles like Relief Checks May Be Coming, but Scammers Are Already Here , wherein the Federal Trade Commission warns that scammers are taking advantage even in a pandemic. The FTC warns: No one from the government will call or email and ask for your Social Security number, bank account number, or credit card number. They don’t need to confirm your birthdate. Anyone telling you that they are required to collect such information so that you can get your check is a scammer. There will be no fee for getting a relief check.
